Rich Dochter took these photographs in August, 1983. The buildings originally housed the Germania Brewing Co. (PA 234). Breweries that are converted to new uses have a much better chance of being preserved. In 1993 the Johnstown Area Heritage Association purchased the property and it recently became the Heritage Center, a museum dedicated to the history and culture of Johnstown and Cambria County.
